Photo Scavenger Hunt: November

Once again joining in with Greenthumb and her monthly Scavenger Hunt. Here's my entry for November.

Gold : Golden lights in the arches of a building in Manchester.

5 : Well it makes a change from pound shops!

Patterns : Frost on the roof of my car.

Bread : Cranberry and toasted pecan from Magic & Sparkle.

Happiness : I was on a bus one day and this little boy kept turning around to wave and smile at his friend. His joy and happiness were so infectious I couldn't resist taking a sneaky snap.

Rain : Sitting in my car this week waiting for the rain, rain to go away so I could get out!

Traffic : Queuing at the lights on the ring road in Preston.

Boxes : Colourful boxes of cereal at the supermarket.

Staircase : In the art gallery.

Sunset : I knew this would be one of the most difficult simply because there are very few windows of opportunity when both the weather conditions are right and I'm able to take photos (at this time of year I'm usually still at work when it goes dark). I had a so-so photo lined up but then, last night, this happened.

Park : Miller Park in Preston.

Pair : My daughter's lucky cats.

If you'd like a challenge in December other than the stress of Christmas present hunting, why not join in? You can find the categories on Greenthumb's blog. x

  2. I saw that brilliant sunset last night too, but I couldn't take a photo as I was emptying the ash pans from the fire at the time! Your photos are great - I love the golden arches and your photos for happiness is great! I was planning to take exactly the same photo for boxes yesterday as I couldn't think what else to do,but then I went into town and saw the storage containers instead!

  7. I love your photo challenges. Do you always have your camera with you when you're out and about? The frost patterns are just amazing, it's incredible to think that nature did that all on it's own. And the sunset is breathtaking. I really appreciate the sunsets more in the winter. x

    1. Yes, I pretty much always have my camera with me and particularly since I started doing the photo challenges. Actually I should confess that it's my daughter's camera. It's a Samsung compact and is much better than mine - I could really do with buying my own - should have put that on the lottery win comment on your post! x

  19. I couldn't believe that was actually frost on your car, it looked like mountains when I first saw the photo. I didn't get any photos this month but hope to join in again in December (fingers crossed).
